We had a really nice Thanksgiving here yesterday. When it was all said and done, we had 23 people here for dinner. Do the 5 dogs and 2 cats count as part of the crowd too? We ate turkey, dressing, yams, holiday potatoes, cranberry 'n' orange relish, gravy, green beans with bacon & almonds, two different green salads, brussels sprouts, multigrain buns, pumpkin pie and lemon meringue pie. . .plus the grape centerpieces, olives, pickles, crackers, cream cheese with pepper jelly that people picked at. . . .I guess you could say it was a feast!

The food was good, but not the best part. We were surrounded by family without any family drama. We swapped stories, laughs and gave Ron's family the nickle tour our our place. The Kramers were here, as were the sister missionaries. Ron's Mum and step-dad, his sister and niece, and my mom and step-dad were all here. After we all had our fill of dinner and shared what we were thankful for, some had to leave, some had a good sleep but most of us watched a movie together in our semi-comatose conditions.

Today we try to get back into our "normal" routines. . .
