Contrast. . .better late than never, right?

This is what I found while looking through my photos today. It is one of the cacti that populate our back hillside. I thought it fit the contrast theme, because the tissue paper delicate flowers are so different then the treacherously sharp needles. The wispy grass contrasts with the full barrel bodies of the cactus and. . .it's a cactus native to Canada. I thought Canada was the "Great White North", not the sage and cactus covered hillside that is my backyard.
