Haiku

is a poetic form of poetry originating from the Japanese culture. Themes include nature, emotions or experiences.

Haiku is compact, lyrical and punchy,

the first line contains 5 syllables,

the second line 7,

and the third line 5.

They contain simple words and grammar and yet they paint a vivid picture in the readers mind.
