Kaili is 19

Yesterday was Kaili's 19th birthday.  You would have thought maybe she was turning 6 by the gifts she received from us. Between our budget, her stringent taste in clothing/jewelry/shoes, and the reality that she buys most of what she wants for herself I was drawing a blank.
She really wants a sports car, so I bought her the Lotus. Since it was only a dollar, I decided the Porche would be nice too. She had requested apple juice and and an "owie owl".  I had shown her one of these owls on Pinterest the other day. They are stuffed with rice and you store them in the freezer for use on little owies, like bumps and bruises.
For dinner she requested fish tacos and Spanish rice . Then, since Kaili doesn't like icing, I made a cheesecake/cool whip/berry pie thing. It was a big hit, so I will have to make it again.
Elizabeth missed the festivities this time; after school she headed to the youth conference in Nanaimo for a couple of days.

Conference Bingo

We tried an experiment today. General Conference is always full of great talks and little gems for us to ponder; though it's not always easy for everyone to focus on what is being said for the entire time. Even though there are no "little" kids in our house. We tried "Conference Bingo" this time and everyone was even focused on the words of the hymns! I found these cards free online then printed them on card stock. When someone got a "bingo" (Elizabeth was the big winner) everyone cleared their cards and then got to eat the markers- no snacking on the treats until then.
