Yesterday was busy, but uneventful. I puttered around the house, weeding through some of our "stuff". Ron and I made a grocery run and found a new bakery. Their prices are much better than the grocery store and the quality is very good. It was snowing lightly on the other side of town, but Westsyde was just cool and grey.
There weren't any pranksters in our house for April Fools, but there was a newspaper article about the city placing tolls on the two bridges linking the North and South shores. Adam fell for it, I'm assuming it was a hoax; albeit a believable one, given the financial times.
I believe today there will be an unpleasant (for Elizabeth) parent/teacher conference with Ron and I. In light of her lack of schoolwork progress and Kaili's stellar efforts, Ron and I have offered Kaili an Amtrak berth with me when I head South mid-June. Kaili would then fly back home to attend trek the last few days of June. That is, if she conquers her trepidation over flying back as an unaccompanied minor. If not, she will just come down the first week of July with Ron and the rest of the gang.
It was rainy this morning, but now the sun is peeking out. . .
